  1. Eligibility
    • The competition is open exclusively for participation by teachers from the schools in West Bengal (‘Participants’).
    • Participants must select their appropriate category: A (Classes 1-4), B (Classes 5-7), C (Classes 8- 10), or D (Classes 11-12).
  2. Format
    • Each Participant will need to create 2 (two) sets of 30 (thirty) multiple-choice questions (‘MCQs’) in relation to the Subject.
    • Participants will create a set of MCQs within a specified time limit.
  3. Question Types
    • MCQs will comprise of single correct answer questions.
    • MCQs may evaluate conceptual understanding and practical applications of the Subject.
  4. Scoring
    • MCQs created by the Participants will be awarded points by the Evaluation Panel.
  5. Competition Rounds
    • The competition will involve creating MCQs for the Subject.
    • Participants must also answer the Tie Break Questions for the Evaluation Panel to judge.
  6. Cheating and Fair Play
    • Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or use of unauthorized materials will result in immediate disqualification.
    • Participants are expected to maintain the integrity of the competition and abide by the rules of fair play.
  7. Prizes
    • Winners and runners-up from each category will be awarded cash prizes, trophies, and recognition for their achievements.

    • Teachers interested in participating in the competition will need to register online through our official website, https://www.gradesup.in (‘Website’).
    • Registration timelines and rules/regulations of the competition will be available on the Website.
  9. Technical Requirements
    • Participants must have a stable internet connection and a desktop or laptop capable of accessing the online competition platform available on the Website.

  • Simbly South LLP (‘Grades Up’) disclaims all representations and/or warranties, whether express or implied, oral or written, including but not limited to, any warranties arising from a course of dealing or use of trade, and any warranties with respect to the Website and/or the competition platform, including but not limited to the quality, merchantability, suitability or fitness of the Website and/or the competition platform for any particular purpose.
  • Simbly South LLP does not warrant or represent that the competition platform and/or the Website will be free of any errors, malfunctions and inconsistencies. Any claim of a Participant with respect to the competition platform or the Website should, in detail, specify the nature of the alleged error, malfunction or inconsistency. Upon receipt of such claim, Simbly South LLP will have the right to test or inspect the competition platform and/or Website, accordingly.
  • While Simbly South LLP will endeavour to address the concern of the Participant as may be notified to them, it does not guarantee a solution to the satisfaction of the Participant.
  • In no event shall Simbly South LLP be liable to any person (including the Participant) for any incidental, indirect, remote, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of goodwill or business profits, regardless of the nature of the claim, even if it knew or should have known of the possibility of such damages or claims.
  1. Dispute Resolution
    • Any disputes in connection with the competition will be resolved by the organizing committee, and their decision will be final and binding.
    • The competition is subject to the laws of India and courts in Kolkata, West Bengal will have exclusive jurisdiction on all matters relating to the competition.
  2. Amendments to Rules
    • The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the rules and format of the competition, as it may deem necessary and without any prior notice.
    • Participants will be informed of any changes post such amendment.
  3. Acknowledgment
    • The acceptance of the rules and regulations stated herein in its entirety are an absolute pre-condition for participating in the MCQ

    • Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner throughout the competition.

  • All official communication regarding the competition will be sent to the Participants via e-mail and/or WhatsApp. Such communication shall be made only to the e-mail addresses and phone number, which are registered with us. In addition, all such communication and announcements will be available on the Website.
  • We advise the Participants to regularly check their e-mails and the Website for updates and announcements.
  1. Feedback and Queries
  • Participants can provide feedback or raise queries regarding the competition through the designated channels provided on the Website.
  • The organizing committee will attempt to address any genuine concerns.
  1. Publicity
  • The Participants acknowledge that Simbly South LLP (‘Organiser’) may use their names and photographs (‘Details’) for promotional and publicity purposes in connection with the competition (‘Purpose’).
  • The Participants irrevocably, unconditionally and expressly consent to Simbly South LLP to use the Details, free of charge at its sole discretion and in the manner, it deems appropriate in relation to the Purpose.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • Participants acknowledge and confirm that they have only limited rights to use the competition platform and the Website in accordance with the respective terms and conditions.
  • Participants acknowledge and confirm that the MCQs and/or any form of word, products or other intellectual property created or otherwise made during their participation or engagement in the competition (‘IP’) shall be the absolute work or property of Simbly South LLP. Such IP shall vest with Simbly South LLP immediately upon submission of the said work with them.
  • Participants hereby irrevocably and unconditionally assigns, transfers and conveys all rights and interests in the IP to Simbly South LLP, in perpetuity, without any consideration.
  • As such, the Participants agree that Simbly South LLP retains absolute ownership and all rights, title, benefit and interest in the IP. The Participants release Simbly South LLP from any and all claims, liabilities or obligations (including in the form of royalty, fees or dues) in relation to the IP.
  1. Organisers’ Rights
  • The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who violates any rule or fails to comply with the instructions given by the invigilators.
  • The Organiser may at any time and without any prior notice cancel the MCQ Fiesta.
  1. Enjoyment and Learning
  • While MCQ Fiesta is a competition, the primary goal is to promote enjoyment of the Subjects and enhance teachers’ knowledge and skills.
  • Participants are encouraged to view the competition as a learning opportunity and a platform for professional development.
